RUNNING ORDER FOR THE 1ST BFI 24 HOUR FILM CHALLENGE 2008
FRIDAY 12TH - SUNDAY14th SEPT @ BFI CINEMA SOUTHBANK LONDON SE1

LAUNCH OF THE EVENT
FRIDAY 8:00PM – Entrants must turn up at the BFI SOUTHBANK CINEMA RECEPTION .

You must be registered in advance and have your Entry forms and actors release forms with you , teams will be called up one at a time and the rules will be explained.
One person from each team will be asked to pick out a random theme and title from two lucky dips from our staff members
You then register your theme and title you have picked with one of our staff members
and the CLOCK STARTS then for your team YOUR OFF !!
You then have just 24 hours to write shoot edit and return your 3 min short film on (Mini dv format only please)
Films must also be in 4.3 format & NOT 16.9 wide screen or large on DVCAM tapes please (due to projector settings and player)
IMPORTANT NOTICE : Films must be no longer than three minutes long including credits.

RETURNING YOUR FINISHED FILM
8:00PM SAT 13TH SEPT Competition closes – Entrants must return their short 3 min films on mini dv format ONLY !! to the BFI SOUTHBANK CINEMA RECEPTION where you received your theme and title on Friday night !
You must log in your film with one of our staff members and have your film logged in so we can stop the clock !!
IMPORTANT NOTICE :
PLEASE PUT THE NAME OF YOUR FILM & THE TEAM NAME ON THE TAPE !!
and please ad a emergency contact mobile number just incase there is any problems with your tape please.

SCREENING SUNDAY 14th SEPTEMBER 2008 8PM BFI SOUTHBANK CINEMA (Entry is free to cast n crew)

EXTRA TICKETS WILL BE AVALABLE ON A 1ST COME 1ST SERVE ON SUNDAY 14TH(300 SEATER CINEMA)

7:20pm – Completed Films will be screened @ THE BFI SOUTHBANK
Our judging panel will be in the audience and will make their decision and the winners will be determined.

There will be a 10min break while the judges pick the winners

8.20pm – Film makers reconvene, & the winners are announced and prizes are awarded.

After the Awards there will be a Wrap party at the BFI SOUTHBANK BAR UPSTAIRS TO THE CINEMA .
Join us for a glass of bubbly and network with fellow film makers who completed the challenge .

DETAILS

• If you do not have all your team mates at registration time, you may add them after. By sending in your team application and payment now, you will reserve your spot in the challenge. Team changes are due in by 10th.SEPT 2008 After that, team details are locked.
 
• Entry fee is £20 per Team , All ticket sales are final.
 
• REGISTRATION FORMS must be printed out and returned by hand / hand it in at the address on the bottom of the entry form with your entry fee please (this makes sure it arrives safe n sound)
• or you can email the completed form and pay via paypal to make it before the deadline 10th Sept 08.
