WHO IS JOHNNIE (ODDBALL) The name "oddball" came from a nick name johnnie was called when he ran oddball film productions , the nick name stuck to this day , his real name was kept secret just encase it never worked out in the industry ? 5 low budget feature films and over 800 short films created from his film challenges later , johnnie made cinema history , in the last three years he has inspired over 10,000 film makers from all over Europe to what is possible with team work and real talent and no money ! "it has been a great feeling to of inspire so many into making a film without excuses , they really needed someone to give them a kick start in how easy it really is to just drop the excuses and just get out their and make a film !" even when things went wrong behind the scenes of some of my events, i kept my promise to screen all the films whatever it took" , "i felt that every film made in my event was as personal to me as it was to the film makers who took the time and effort to make it !, i learned allot about film makers and how they really love to be inspired ,the events where just the start of things to come , i wanted to make feature films all my life but like fellow film makers never had the funds , so over the years i bought & borrowed equipment from fellow film makers and just made films , it wasn't about if the films where any good, it was about learning the hard way by doing it for real on set or on a street with no permission , I really learned allot by doing it this way , you can never learn film making from a book only by exp ?" "this is why i created the events to inspire others , but without funds to run the events and without charging film makers again 25 quid to take part , i gave the events over to others to run around the UK , so i could get back to making films ,well hopefully i can inspire film makers by making films with no moneythat anything is possible with team work !! , earlier this year i linked up with raindance to launch the 1st 24 crash courses this was going to be the 1st time film makers get real hands on exp with a cameras lighting directing editing etc all within 24hrs and all without books or lectures or classrooms" "this way film makers get to really make a film like in the events , i always wanted to teach film making but couldn't think of a way to do it without all the books n stuff the events did what i always wanted and more , it was never about how i would look in the industry or about making money it was about making a real difference to someone's dreams of making a film , that's why i do it , its the biggest buzz to see peoples faces in a cinema when their film is being screened its priceless that is worth more than money or fame it is priceless , it's what i would of loved when i started out in film making someone to kick me up the arse " with dv becoming so cheap now their is no excuse not to just have a go and learn" ........ johnnie oddball .....................
